Alexander Calder had work exhibited at Weyhe Gallery early in his career. The early correspondence is mostly from Paris and mentions toy designs and wire sculptures, as well as news of the American artists in Paris at the start of the Depression. The American correspondence reflects the artist's struggle to show and sell his work during the Depression. There is no correspondence after 1941.
